Fallen ceiling in a Sumter home.

A freeze that hit the local area caused pipe to burst causing water damaged home through out the Sumter, SC area. Some of the homes had the piping for the home located in the attic. 

When a pipe bursts in the attic the water saturates the insulation making the insulation heavy as well as saturating the drywall making the drywall weak. The result of that combination is shown in the before picture.

SERVPRO of Sumter technicians were able to respond in a timely manner to get the mess cleaned up and the drying started.

In the after picture the home is dry and ready for repairs to begin.
